About TntWare
File | Backup ... keeps a local backup of your database on your hard drive. I'd recommend you sign up for Dropbox and keep your database file stored in Dropbox for constant backups to the cloud.
So what does File > Backup do...? It asks for a name, but where is it stored?
Jutta, Dropbox keeps 30 days of backups. You just have to go to the Dropbox website and find the file and click the "..." link to view "Version History" and you can restore any version from the last 30 days you want. TntConnect has an auto-backup feature, but this only backs it up to your local hard drive. To restore an auto-backup, under the "File" menu, click on "Restore" to see a list of backups.
You make it sound like having TnT stored in Dropbox is a backup. But when I would have needed a backup (earlier version), Dropbox had already sent the new version to all devices. I do have the option."Automatically backup this database" checked but I don't see where these backups are stored.
Anne, that means that your database is already in your Dropbox folder.
Seth, see my reply here: www.tntware.com/.../13463.aspx
I recently downloaded TNT Connect on a second computer that I purchased. I have it installed on two computers now with the same account. After a few weeks, I've realized they are not synced. How do I sync both databases? One has info that the other doesn't, the second has info that the first doesn't
When I click that button, I'm getting a dialog with 'No Dropbox conflicts found', but the rest of the box is empty and it's not giving me the option to move my Database to Dropbox. Would be grateful for any help. Thanks.
