How do I get past, "Error Running AppleScript "MergeToWordMac""?

Usually you can get past this error by quitting Microsoft Word.  To do this:

1.  Command-Tab to switch to Microsoft Word.

2.  Command-Q to Quit Microsoft Word.

3.  Start Microsoft Word, but make sure there are no prompts waiting for your attention in Word.

Now go back to TntConnect and try to launch the mail merge again.

If this still fails, you may need to perform a mail merge manually.  Click here to learn how to manually perform a mail merge.

Thank you. I am switching from doing TNT on my PC to doing it on a Mac.

And I ran into this problem!!

So this solution worked like a champ!

Yes, that's it. I see now. You have to have Word completely Quit in Mac before you start, a good thing to know. then you also have to Choose Options... Remove Source when the error message comes up. I guess that's just how it is, but at least now I knwo how to get it to work. Hope everyone else finds that out too.

My friend upgraded his Mac to Mohave. Now when he tries to mail merge he receives "Error Running AppleScript "MergeToWordMac"". I made sure Word was closed, rebooted his computer, and reinstalled TNTConnect. Nothing is allowing him to get past this error. He is not tech savvy enough to export his group and import it into Word every time he want to do a mailing. Is there another way to fix this?

Hi Maverick,  Could you have your friend send me his system information?  I'd like to see what version of Mac OS X he has (exactly), and what version of Word:mac he has installed.  When he gets the error message, have him report the issue to the forums (including the details in the error message).
