About TntWare
The *.7zip files at download.tntware.com/.../redist do not look similar to the screenshot. They all mention wine? That would be for Linux or Mac. This is confusing. None of the files apart from the help files are available in that folder. What to do?
I am a moron. I realize I remember the days when a 35mb hard drive was a modern miracle, but I understand zero of what I need to do here. I agree with Leon. What to do?
If you wanted to create an installation CD (for PC users only), you'd need to copy all the files found here (for TntMPD 3.0.17):
download.tntware.com/.../3.0.17
and all the files found here:
download.tntware.com/.../redist
into one folder on your CD. Then just run "SetupTntMPD.exe" to get started.
For Mac users, you could also put this file on the CD:
download.tntware.com/.../TntMPD.3.0.11.dmg
I have the same problem as Leonhedding: the files at download.tntware.com - /tntmpd/redist/ give me files that mention wine. So where is the zip file for pc?
You can ignore the 3 files that mention wine (unless you want to share the cd w/ a Mac user to help them do an offline update). As of right now, the only 2 files you'd need for a PC are:
download.tntware.com/.../chromium_1_0_306b.7zip
download.tntware.com/.../msace2010b.7zip

How do I use the wine files with the Mac installation DMG?
James, the Mac Installation DMG already has TntMPD installed. So none of the .7zip files are needed. The DMG is pretty much self contained.
Troy,
I'm trying to install TntMPD on a new computer with Windows 8.1 with an exceptionally slow internet connection. I eventually got the TntMPD setup executable downloaded (3.0.39.0) via a third party download manager.
The setup tries to download Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 and Google Chromium Emedded Framework 1.0.306. Due again to the slow connection I can only get a couple hundred Kb before the download hangs and fails.
I did find the /tntmpd/redist/ folder and downloaded the msace2010b and chromium_1_0_306b 7zip files, placed them in their own folder alongside Setup TntMPD.exe and tried to run the installation again. No joy--the InstallAware Wizard still tries to download the Access Engine and Chromium Framework files. I then tried extracting the 7zip files to the same folder as the setup executable--same result.
Any hints?
Put "msace2010b.7zip" and "chromium_1_0_306b 7zip" right next to "SetupTntMPD.exe". Don't put the 7zip files in a nearby folder or extract them.
