Procedure for obtaining and importing
archived CCCI donation data into TntMPD

1. Request the File from Donation Services

Send an email to Donation Services (donation.services@ccci.org) requesting the "Archive_Donation Query" for your staff account.  Please provide your staff account number.

2. Prepare the File

Once you get your file from Donation Services, open it in Excel.  Make sure they sent you the right data.  This is how the first row should look (with exactly these field names):

PEOPLE_ID

ACCT_NAME

DISPLAY_DATE

AMOUNT

DONATION_ID

DESIGNATION

MOTIVATION

<blink>> Be sure to scroll to the bottom and remove any rows at the bottom containing sum totals.</blink>

<blink>> The DISPLAY_DATE column must be formatted as: M/D/Y.</blink>

<blink>> The AMOUNT column must be formatted as a general number, and must not have any commas to separate thousands.  Also, it can not have a $ currency symbol.</blink>

Under the “File” menu, click on “Save As”.

1.       Where it says, “Save in:”, select “Desktop”.

2.       Where it says “Save as type”, select “CSV (Comma delimited)”.

3.       Finally, click on “Save” and close Excel.

3. Import the File into TntMPD!

  1. Open TntMPD.
  2. Under the “Tools” menu, click on “Address and Gift Input from File”.
  3. Click on “Browse”
    1. Where it says “Look in:” select “Desktop”.
    2. Choose the file you just saved in Excel.
    3. Click “Open”.
  4. Click “Next”, etc.
