Note when you are importing contact lists with organizations in the list:

IF you have organizations in your import file, in addition to the Organization Name field (required) and Organization Contact Person (optional), you MUST have this field as well: "Is Organization".

And IF you have "Is Organization", then ALL contacts being imported must have a value in the field. Organizations are "TRUE" and people are "FALSE".
