When will TntConnect be compatible with macOS Catalina (10.15)?

Filed under:

TntConnect is not yet ready for Catalina.  We don’t have an estimate on when TntConnect will be updated for Catalina because we’re currently waiting on other upstream technology partners to catch up with Catalina, and the first technology partner is indicating “hopefully by the end of the year”.

When we get more clarity on when TntConnect will be ready, we'll update this FAQ article.  We'll also make email announcements to the community. Make sure you're signed up on this website, and make sure that your email address is correct and that you're set to receive emails.

How to Receive Community Announcements
Once you're logged in to this website, click "Edit" at the top right of this website to check your email address, and under "Site Options", make sure that "Receive emails" is set to "Yes":

What if You Already Updated to Catalina?
It's very difficult to uninstall Catalina.  But if you have a machine backup, perhaps a Time Machine backup, from right before you upgraded (a best practice), you can restore your computer to right before you upgraded to Catalina.

If restoring a Time Machine backup is not an option for you, you can use another computer/laptop (or install a virtual machine on your Mac) with Windows or pre-Catalina Mac.  Just move your TntConnect database to this other computer (perhaps via Dropbox).

Since you can't open TntConnect to see where your database file is, use Spotlight to search your hard drive for all .mpddb files, and look for the most recently updated files with a name and location that would looks like something you named your TntConnect database file back when you originally created it.
