Am I understanding this right, that Google Apps Sync is going away?

I spent quite a while tonight trying to get this working, but this options to enable this feature appear to be missing from my Google Apps settings. That's when I came across the article linked above.

Thanks Troy!  I don't know how complex it would be, but you might consider including the ability to export "split contacts" to a csv or outlook file in the future.

I'm considering ditching my Macbook when it dies (it's getting up there in years) and getting a PC laptop next time... seems like it would make many things easier!

GREAT work on your program.  The upgrade is fantastic.  God bless!

Courtney, currently the only way to export "split contacts" or to sync with your Android is via Outlook.  "Google Apps Sync for Outlook" does a great job of synchronizing between Outlook (2003-2010) and Google Apps.  On your husband's PC you could install Outlook 2010 and Google Apps Sync and TntMPD and you'd have a pretty good way to sync your contacts with your Android.  --Troy

I'm on a Mac, but I have access to my TntMPD database on my husband's PC as well.  Neither of us have Outlook, and I use Gmail/Google Apps for both my personal and work emails.  Is there a smooth way to sync between Google apps without the Outlook go-between?  How might I sync with my Android phone without Outlook?  Is that available, or on a wish list?  :)

Also - I LOVE LOVE being able to have the husband's and wife's phone/email separate.  Wonderful.  Is syncing with Outlook the only way to have TntMPD automatically separate the contacts, or is there a way to export a file with all that info that I can then import into Gmail?

Johnny, it's very high on my wish list, trust me!  I have a FAQ article that documents the TntMPD feature gap between PC and Mac (www.tntware.com/.../what-are-the-known-limitations-of-the-mac-version-of-tntmpd.aspx)  Slow but sure, the gap has been shrinking (as the article documents).  TntMPD 3.0 really brings Outlook sync to a point that (as a Windows user), I'm very happy with the amount of information I can easily take with me when I'm mobile.  I'd love to help Mac users with this same paradigm.  I have a few other priorities in tight competition for my time, and these also help with the mobile side.  So, Lord willing, help is coming in some future version. --Troy

Any Chance this feature will be added to mac computers?  Adding the feature via address book or iCloud directly would be great for those of us who do not own Outlook.
