Can't change .Ink file to .mpd file!

I need to transfer my database from my old computer to my new computer. However, I've looked at and followed all the guides on how to transfer a database and every time I try it doesn't work. My TntMPD database file is in .Ink format and I need to change it to .mpd! I have no idea how to do that...
