Note: Synchronizing with Outlook is not an easy procedure, especially compared with the smooth and systematic way TntMPD works internally. Due to the complexity of Synchronizing with Outlook, this Help tool does not provide detailed instructions.
If you use Outlook as your personal information manager and/or e-mail agent, then you want to avoid maintaining two sets of contact information. This is particularly true if you sync your handheld device with Outlook. Sync with Outlook allows you to export contacts, tasks, and schedule data to Outlook.
From the Sync with Outlook menu you can choose:
•Which TntMPD activity to synchronize (contacts, tasks, or appointments).
•Send one individual contact to Outlook or an entire group.
•Define the settings for your Outlook synchronization.
How TntMPD and Outlook relate
What TntMPD displays
What Outlook displays
Husband & Wife’s name together.
Husband's name alone as contact, wife’s name on Detail page.
Husband & Wife’s birthday and anniversary together.
Husband’s birthday and their anniversary are Outlook events; wife’s birthday is lost.
Business and Other address are blank.
Business and Other address are also blank, but country is populated for all contacts.
Country is blank if it is in the home country as defined in Options.
Country appears for all contacts, even if they are in my current home country.
"Company Name" on the Personal Tab refers to the contact's employer.
Example: If George Jetson works for Spacely Sprockets and lives at 2001 Skypad Way, in TntMPD his address would appear like this, and Spacely Sprockets appears on the Personal Tab as his employer:
George Jetson, 2001 Skypad Way, Orbit City, FL 33701
"Company Name" appears in the Mailing Address Block, as if it was a business address. George Jetson's info in Outlook would appear as:
George Jetson, Spacely Sprockets, 2001 Skypad Way, Orbit City, FL 33701
