Link with Microsoft Access

What do I do if I want to modify the data in a table? Having that option, then loosing it sets us back to square one!

The ability to modify data is not completely gone.  You can open your TntMPD database directly in Access 2010 or newer and modify data in the core tables.  Just be careful!  :)

Since MS Office is not on my machine, I tried opening the .mpddb file with MDB Viewer Plus or LibreOffice Base.  However, they both gave the error "Not a valid password."  Using LibreOffice Base, the linked .mdb file allows read-only access as stated above.

Can we still modify data in MS access? TNT database need a password via MS access - I enter my old TNT password but it does not work

The new database password is "tntMPD".

Thank you for including the linked Access database feature in TntConnect. It is very helpful to me.

When I create a new linked Access database and open it in Access, everything works fine. However, when I try to open the same linked Access database a day or so later, I receive the following message:

'C:\Users\Danny\AppData\Local\Temp\TntConnectTemp\tmp-A5C9.tmp' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

When this happens, I have to create a whole new linked Access database. Is there any way to have linked databases point to a permanent instance of the TntConnect database, so that I don't have to keep creating new linked databases?

Hi Danny,  The links are intentionally to a copy of your TntConnect database to keep your access to the database read-only.  That's why the linked tables are not directly to your main TntConnect database.
