How do I transfer the database file on a mac to another mac? The Windows instructions aren't working for me..

Very similar instructions.  You just need to locate your database file, and then copy it to your new computer.  Then in TntMPD (File | Open) to open it.

I cannot install the newest TNT for Mac because an error message says 'wine' is operating.

You may have to restart your Mac, and then try replacing TntMPD in your Applications folder again.

A colleague who uses Windows, and myself (who uses a mac) are hoping to use this to share information. Will we be able to access the same data from our different machines? How does this work?

You can share a TntMPD database between a PC and Mac using Dropbox:
