Troy,

I am looking for this same kind of import. I want to occasionally update other fields in the database for multiple contacts. Is this still a planned feature to be added?

Somehow we still managed to allow two contacts to be created for the same person. Although I realize that precautions have been put in place to prevent this from happening, it happened nonetheless.

So, now that we have two contacts, both with pertinent info, is there any way to merge the two?

There's not currently a way to do this via TntMPD. This is a planned feature for later this year. For now the only possibility would be via Access linked tables. This is the only way TntMPD provides to programmatically change the data. www.tntware.com/.../how-can-i-develop-add-ons-for-tntmpd.aspx

Is there anyway to merge in the other info. What I was hoping to do was to be able to update contact info every so often from an external contact list (exported to CSV).

This feature only updates name/address fields for existing contacts.

I was trying to use this feature to update some new fields on contacts. It found the match, but I didn't want to update the name/address...so I said no to that. Then Yes to the Error (which is a little annoying for every contact). However, none of my new fields updated.
