@verkruijssen, do a mass change a field again, but this time change Greeting to nothing (blank). This will cause the Greeting to get reset.

I made a mistake. I used 'mass change a field' in group action menu for adjusting the greetings. It now says the word 'TRUE, in all greetings. But I'd like to restore all back to the first names. How can I do that?

Yes, it's easy--I have done it several times for the exact reason you mention.

Select all of the items you wish to update.

Right-click and select "Edit".

The normal Log History box will appear, and you can select the specific field you want to edit.

Click OK.

Only that field will update on all of the selected tasks; all of the other fields will remain unchanged.

Is there a way to mass change history objects? In 3.0 there are new history types, and it would be nice to go back and adjust the type of old history entries.
