With the new tax laws, I have more donors giving via their IRA accounts so I'm running into this too.

The Gift sync downloaded a gift from a foundation and applied it to the donor for which that overall donor id is assigned. So it appears that the major/minor data is not getting sent to TntMPD. I still have to manually splitthe gift. In fact the gift had been posted to the individual in Dec, but then the last sync deleted the gift and downloaded the Foundation gift.

Ryan, I believe that the this is done automatically by Cru (ITG) now (as of Sept 1, 2012). When they know the source donor, they will send that as the donor id instead of the "passthrough" donor id (i.e. the foundation).

This is very helpful. I just realized I need to solve this issue with a foundation that multiple donors use. It would be ideal to have the donor split out automatically.

ITG is considering it. It would not be a change to TntMPD, but rather in how they present the donation data to TntMPD.

With the pending change to the 13-month printout giving us the breakdown of church/foundation gifts by individual contributor, is there a plan in the next major release to split out gifts by major/minor donors? I have a couple supporters who all give through the same foundation so I have to manually reduce and add the gifts to keep things straight.
