If your organization supports web downloads, you can download your gifts directly from your organization. Many missionaries will choose to do this at the same time as they download their addresses from the web.
TntMPD will connect with your organization’s donation system if your organization supports web-download of donation data. You can do this when you are setting up your database, or at any time after your database is set up, by clicking the Gift Input button on the shortcut bar.
Downloading Gifts from the Web
If this is your first time downloading, you will follow all of these steps. If this is not your first time, you will already be connected to your organization and while the steps are the same, it will not take nearly as long. Only new contacts will be downloaded, and only the last three weeks (instead of all available dates).
| 1. | Press  on your shortcut bar. (Or, ). |
| 2. | Select your Organization from the drop-down list and enter the Login and Password you use to access your donor software. TntMPD will remember your login and password for future downloads. |
Tip: Now — and any time in the future — you will know that you are connected to your organization when your account balance is displayed.
| 3. | Select the date range to sync. The Starting Date calendar will, by default, show the earliest date available for your organization. For the most complete data possible, select the earliest date you can. Click Try to match existing contacts if you have your contacts in your database already. Though TntMPD can’t match perfectly, you can manually connect contacts later. Then press  . |
| 4. | Downloading addresses and gifts from your ministry’s donation system can be a time-consuming process. The speed is primarily based on your donation system’s processing ability, but may also be affected by your connection speed and your computer’s speed. |

| 5. | You have to wait while TntMPD downloads the contacts from your ministry’s donation system. TntMPD will download all active donors in your file, not just the ones who have given in the time frame you selected. |
| 6. | If you have already loaded your contacts into your database, TntMPD will ask you to match each downloaded contact with an existing contact. This could be time consuming, but is one of the few time-consuming tasks you will encounter when setting up TntMPD. |
| 7. | Click Next when TntMPD asks you which contacts you want to add. (You want to add all of them.) |
| 8. | Once TntMPD has added all of your contacts, you will also see a list of all gifts to be downloaded. Click Next to continue, and TntMPD will tell you how many gifts it will add to your database. |
Tip: Double-click on any gift in the list to edit the gift and appeal information, add a memo, etc. You can also edit gifts later on the MPD tab for any contact.
| 9. | Press  to finish or  if you have changed your mind. |
Sometimes TntMPD cannot synchronize and you will have to perform the download and synchronization again. Doing so will not affect those gifts already downloaded.
