Email Addresses

Print this Topic Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

In addition to email addresses, contacts can have other Internet information that may be useful to you.

Access this box by from the Address box, then clicking the Edit button to the right of the Internet box:

Preferred Email Addresses

Unlike phone numbers (only one preferred allowed), all three email addresses can be selected as preferred for any contact. This enables you to send email messages to the husband and the wife simultaneously.

When you click on their email address anywhere in TntMPD, your default email software will open and all preferred email addresses will be inserted in the To: box.

Preferred Email Addresses and Mail Merge

If you perform a mail merge and a contact with multiple preferred email addresses is selected, each email will receive a separate email. Consider this example:

George and Jane have separate email addresses, and both are "preferred"

When the email mail merge is created and a greeting is inserted in the body of the message, both George and Jane will see the same greeting.

They will not be addressed to George for his email and Jane for her email.
