What is Ministry Partner Development (MPD)??

MPD is an acronym for Ministry Partner Development, a term used to refer to the process of seeking individuals and churches or organizations to support your work in ministry. These people are called partners because they are in partnership with you in this endeavor.

Overview of TntMPD's primary functions

Maintaining Contact Information

Name and address information (with multiple names and addresses, with formats for different country norms, plus phone and internet fields).
Customizable greetings to make printing letters and envelopes easier.
Personal information such as birthdays, anniversaries, children(s) info, employer, profession, hobbies, nickname, church name, and more.

Tracking Giving Information

Their participation in your ministry (such as, regular donor, special needs donor, pray-er only, not interested, call back, etc.).

What is TntMPD?

TntMPD is a custom relationship manager for missionaries who raise their own financial support. TntMPD helps a missionary tackle the administrative side of fund development by making it easy and fun to manage the relationships with ministry partners who pray and give generously.

Levels of using TntMPD

TntMPD is very flexible. It is as useful for those who only use some features as it is for those who use it extensively.

Level 1

Simple Contact & Financial Management. TntMPD is easier to use than almost any other contact manager on the market, and keeping track of gifts is a great feature. Many missionaries have benefited from TntMPD without going beyond this level.

Level 2

Task Management. Tracking tasks, and being able to review your past activity (“history”) with partners, is made easy with TntMPD.

Level 3

Exploding TntMPD. TntMPD is full of creative and clever enhancements that help missionaries excel in their ministry partner development.

TntMPD features that help a missionary manage their relationships:

Manage Contact Information

“Soon afterwards, He (Jesus) began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him, and also some women and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.” Luke 8:1-3

“You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my need.” Paul, in Philippians 4:15-16

God’s work is accomplished by people, and the normal method of God’s provision for those in His service is through the generous contributions of individuals and churches.

TntMPD makes it easy to collect, store, and search on a variety of information about your contacts.

The Contact View

Attributes of the Contact View

1.Shortcut Bar

Tip: Toggle View

In the Contact View, use F2 & F3 to toggle buttons or contact list on/off. This is not as big an issue with today's high resolution monitors, but with low resolution monitors, turning off these two items expands the room to view contact information.

2.Current Group of contacts (at the top of the column is the lookup value, in this case, Everyone).

Tip: Lookup Everyone toggle button

You can view all of the contacts in your database by pressing a button on the button bar that looks like a funnel. Pressing the button again returns the Current Group to the previous lookup. "Everyone" is the default lookup upon opening TntMPD, but you can change that to one of three other options. (See Options for this.)

3.Name & Address Bar

Name & Address Bar

The "Name & Address Bar" is the area at the top where the selected contact's address, phone, and email are shown. The amount of information shown is limited, so a longer address will push phone and email down, possibly below where you can see.

The address will be bold and red if it there is an unresolved discrepancy for this contact's address or phone, or crossed out if it is "marked as undeliverable" (either manually marked or automatic if it is incomplete). Click on the name to edit the name & address. Deceased contacts will also appear, with an undeliverable address.

Tip: Enlarge Name & Address bar with F12

Tip: Name & Address Bar hotspots

You can click (or double-click) on almost anything in the Name & Address bar and act on it

Summary Data: Organization Account Number [opens View Organization Info]

Read More > Managing Contacts Overview

Tip: Quick task for phone call

Click on a contact's phone number in the Name & Address bar and TntMPD will automatically pop up a Call Log History. This only works if your TntMPD is set to NOT use the Auto-Dialer. The first time you click a phone number, TntMPD will ask you if you want to enable/disable the Windows Auto-Dialer.

Tip: Google Maps

Press the <Show Google Map> button.

This will map the address of the selected contact, if Google Maps is able to do so.
