
It is unwise to delete any contact from your database, because doing so would eliminate their task and giving history as well. However, for the purpose of advanced lookups, it may also be helpful to exclude any contact who is deceased.
TntMPD will make it very apparent that this contact is deceased by modifying how their name and address appears in the Name and Address Bar, as well as on the Address Tab.


Sidebar: Deceased Spouse
| • | TntMPD does not have a way to track the name of a now-deceased spouse. |
| • | You may want to keep their name for future reference. |
| • | In some cases, an older woman will continue to use her husband's first name even though he is deceased, for example, "Mrs. Daffy Duck". |
Most of the time, your wisest course of action is to remove the deceased spouse's name from the address. If you want to keep the spouse's name, type it in the Notes.

When the second spouse passes away, you will still want to keep their contact information, especially if they gave donations. Deleting their contact would also delete their giving history. When the second spouse dies, return the Contact names to the original husband and wife, then click Deceased on the MPD tab:
