Even though TntMPD uses Internet Explorer internally, it's fine if you use Firefox as your default browser. But do keep in mind that, if you have any special proxy settings for connecting to the Internet, you'll need to have those settings in Internet Explorer as well. TntMPD uses the proxy settings from Internet Explorer.
