TntMPD 2.1 r16 (for Windows 2000)

Installing TntMPD is easy and will only take a few minutes.

To upgrade an existing installation of TntMPD follow the same steps as if installing it for the first time.

System Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 or newer.

(If you are using Windows 95, 98, ME or NT 4.0, you may install TntMPD 1.6 r77.)

(Do not install this version of TntMPD if you have Windows XP, Vista, 7 or newer.)

Works with Windows XP Pro;  XP Home and Windows 7 64x Premium.

Have not been able to download due to the Microsoft Capicom file.  we have tried the other fixes, but none of the downloads work.  any other ideas?

I get the install wizard working, the Crypto API installed OK.  And then upon reaching the "installer" step, it errors out with the message: "Downloading installation data from the web has failed..."

This FAQ article tells you how you can download the "capicom21.7zip" file manually.  This should help you work around your install issue:

I cannot install due to not having administrator privileges on this computer? I don't have a computer at the office and CCC won't let me connect a personal computer to the network...

Sorry, but you need administrator privileges to install TntMPD.

I need to know how big the Microsoft capicom file is- this would be helpful for folks like me on limited internet bundles! thanks

The size of capicom21.7zip is listed here as 188 KB:

download.tntware.com/.../redist

Hash, download capicom21.7zip and put right next to SetupTntMPD.exe before you run it.
