About TntWare
This has been tested on Snow Leopard (10.6.8), but should also run on Leopard (10.5) and on Lion (10.7).
To install, just drag TntMPD.app into your Applications folder.
love having this on my mac! thanks!
does this work on lion too?
Yes, it works on Mac 10.7 Lion.
Thanks, Troy!
Any chance for an iPhone/Ipad app in the future?
That's the direction things are moving. But it's going to be awhile!
I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 should i update to this r74. I was having trouble mail merging could this be why?
This update might help with mail merge. Shouldn't hurt!
Is there an earlier version for Macs? I have a Mac OS X 10.4.11 and I tried downloading this one, but it won't run with my system.
Is your Mac OS X 10.4.11 running an Intel cpu?
I have 2.1r45 on my mac 10.6.8. Should I upgrade to 2.1r74? How do I do that? If I drag the new one to my applications folder won't my computer get confused?
Hi, I'm trying to download this version of TntMPD for mac but the link doesn't seem to be working. Can you help me out?
@Henry, when you drag TntMPD into your Applications folder, it will overwrite the existing TntMPD with a new version. Just make sure TntMPD isn't running while you do this.
@Laura, community support is available in the forums.
Troy, does this work on G4 processor or only Intel?
Only on Intel.
My processor is a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - will that work with this download?
Yes, it's an Intel.
My Mac wont let me re-install the software, I keep getting this message:
The operation can’t be completed because the item “Wineskin” is in use.
I've gone through everything on my computer to find "Wineskin" but can't. Don't know how to proceed. Any suggestions?
I have been running Tnt on Mac and then updated to 2.1 r74. It ran when I downloaded it but then when I closed it it would not open again. I deleted it and downloaded it again and it did the same thing, ran until I closed it then would not open again. What can I do? I'm fine running the older version if needed but where do I find it to download again?
Hi Scott, In "Activity Monitor" find the "wineskin" (or "wine" or "wineserver") process and kill it.
@Todd, Make sure you copy it to the "Applications" folder before you run it. The older version is available here: download.tntware.com/.../TntMPD.2.1.56.dmg
Hey there I also have a Mac OS X 10.4.11 and it does not work. I then tried the older version and it just opens up the program and then says something about failed window and opens up word. :/ any way I can get it to run on my os? thank you!
You might get the older version to work on Tiger if you install this:
aardwolfclientpackage.googlecode.com/.../Wine_1.2.2.dmg
Here's the old version I'm referring to:
download.tntware.com/.../TntMPD.2.1.56.dmg
Also, make sure you have X11 installed in Tiger.
Downloading now. Thanks Troy!
I downloaded TntMPD 2.1 r74 (for Mac) on my Mac version 10.5.8 and it doesn't open. Any fixes?
Ken
Troy, I downloaded the new software from my Mac side. When I try to open the file, it takes me to the PC side. Aaagh. What do I do?
Troy, I did the force reinstall as per another post. The thing I did differently was to open my existing file from the File drop-down menu rather than the Find File link in the TNT box (the box that opens when you first open TNT). Yesterday, I opened from the TNT box and it launched Parallels and wanted to run TNT from the PC side of my Mac. You may want to make this clear to others (it cost me about 90 minutes figuring this out).
LIke everyone else, I love TNT for Mac. Here's a small issue. When I create a new contact, it does not allow me to change the font in the notes section. I can change it, it shows the change, when it saves, it defaults to Tahoma 8 no matter how many times I save it in a different font. Any suggestions?
@kenchr, check out this article: www.tntware.com/.../why-does-tntmpd-for-the-mac-not-start-up-and-how-can-i-get-past-it.aspx
@Clyde: Glad to hear you got past the Finder associate issue by TntMPD's: File|Open. I'll look into seeing if the next TntMPD for Mac can more effectively "take over" as the mpddb file opener. Also, I'll check out the notes issue you're describing.
I am brand new to TNTMPD, and have a question regarding getting info from my organization to my mac. I have downloaded the program, and supposedly I am supposed to be able to download a file from my mission to the world website and import it into my contacts with their giving info and alll, but I can't seem to get any file from online, and wouldn't know how to import it anyway. Could you help?
Thanks
Where is the app?
@ivjosh, you should contact their organization and ask them if/how they support TntMPD users.
@Julie Miller, I don't understand your question.
