What is TntCrypt?

TntCrypt is a tool which is designed to make it easy to send and receive email attachments in a secure manner.  The key component it uses to do this are Digital IDs.  Digital IDs serve as an electronic substitute for sealed envelopes and handwritten signatures.  TntCrypt uses Digital IDs to do these things:

• Ensure that the sender of the email attachment can be verified.
• Ensure that the email attachment is not tampered with in transit.
• Ensure that the email attachment can only be read by the intended recipient.

TntCrypt is included with TntMPD.  (It was introduced with TntMPD 1.6 r68.)
